•'d rather be on the beach than in a ballroom... the bows on the shoes don't have to match the bows on the dress... every family needs a superhero... kids shouldn't have to sit still... time really does fly.

Because you live life and enjoy every minute of it.

Because you truly 'go with the flow' and embrace the things that really matter.

Because you don't want the moments in your life to become a fading memory.

corbin + tim : wedding : grafton, vermont

Corbin and Tim were married at The Old Tavern at Grafton, an historic Vermont country inn.  The property is beautiful and has an absolutely gorgeous barn that is perfect for wedding receptions and, in the case of rainy weather:(, the ceremony as well!

Wet weather wasn’t enough to dampen the mood and spirit of this wedding.  It went off without a hitch and the rain stopped long enough for Corbin and Tim to walk their marriage license over to the Town Hall (easy to understand why the word ‘quaint’ is associated so often with Vermont isn’t it!?).

The dancing started the minute people finished dinner and only slowed down for a great show put on by Corbin’s dad and Tim where they dueled out the song “My Girl”!

Here’s a peek at Corbin and Tim’s day….

Boston Bruins : 2011 Stanley Cup Champions!

For those of you that don’t know this about me… family LOVES hockey.  We live hockey.  All 3 kids play and we spend 3/4 of the year in ice rinks.  We’ve had weekends when we had 10 different games in 3 different states.  We go to games….we watch them on tv. The past few years we’ve been in Disney during the first round of playoffs so we went to the EPSN zone to watch the games….not once or twice….for almost every game.  We are a hockey family.  And our team is the BOSTON BRUINS.

One of my favorite commercials during the Stanley Cup Finals featured interviews with players just after winning the Stanley Cup.  Every one of them stammered, stuttered and just stared at the camera because it was simply overwhelming to them.  The ad ended with “there are no words”.  That ad is 200% correct.  There really are no words at all that can adequately convey just what it was like to be there at the parade celebrating our hockey heroes and seeing the Stanley Cup right in front of us.  It gave us goosebumps, filled us with pride and was an experience we will never forget.

So, instead of words, here is my photo tribute of the rolling rally in Boston celebrating the team we absolutely adore….the 2011 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!….the BOSTON BRUINS!!

The next two photos mean so much to me.  The first is of my daughter, Devan, when she first spotted her hero coming down the street followed by the MVP of the series, the Bruins’ goalie, Tim Thomas! (Devan is also a goalie!)

Congratulations Bruins!  You worked hard and you did it….you brought the Cup home!   We couldn’t be prouder!!

It looks like you were right across the street from us. We drove from Philly Friday night to be there for the parade and then drove back for work on Sunday.

My freinds think we are crazy – but they don’t live so far away from the teams they love.

When we got of the T in Copley our family was standign there to greet us. It was a magical day.

Great shots! Really captures the exuberance of the moment!

wendy + fred : wedding : puerto vallarta, mexico

Wendy and Fred’s wedding in Puerto Vallarta had all the elements that define what I love most about destination weddings…. a gorgeous location (the fabulous Playa Fiesta), a small intimate gathering of the bride and groom’s closest friends and family, fun activities and just a great all around casual and relaxing few days for the bride, groom and guests.  (Oh yeah…and spectacular weather!  After almost 2 straight weeks of rain in Maine it was wonderful to actually see that the sun really did still exist!)

From fire dancers and a release of doves to massages by the pool and fireworks…their event was wonderful!

Here’s a peek at their wedding weekend…

Wendy and Fred….thank you so much for inviting me to share this special time with you!  I wish you both a lifetime filled with wonderful memories and lots of laughter.  (And definitely try to fit a zip line tour in there as well!  It’s a blast! 😉 )

And to everyone at Playa Fiesta…  you all were a pleasure to work with!!  Thank you for making me feel like I’d known you all forever.  It’s always sad to leave a gorgeous location such as yours but this time I was also very sad to say goodbye to such a great group of people.  (It’s no wonder you are #1 on TripAdvisor !!)
