colin + jason : wedding : memphis, tn

Colin and I hit it off from the very first correspondence between us.  It was as if we had known each other for years!

The initial wedding plans were for a wedding at Inn by the Sea in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.  However, because of Colin’s close connection and love of family, she wanted to be sure that her grandmother could be there.  And so it was settled….the wedding would take place at home in Memphis, TN.

I’ve now been to Memphis for two weddings.  By itself that isn’t necessarily unusual.  What was surprising, however, was that the wedding was at the exact same location as the first one I photographed there.  When Colin told me the name of the venue I was thrilled. The property at the Dixon Galleries is an absolutely gorgeous place for a wedding!

Thank you Colin and Jason for inviting me to capture your day.  I enjoyed my return trip to Memphis (this time I actually DID go to see Graceland !! 😉 )  and hope to visit the area again sometime.

Best wishes to you both for a lifetime filled with laughter!

Beautiful! I love that they included their dogs- so cute!

Loving the journalistic coverage and loving how viewing your images brought me into another world. The last frame is really sweet.

[…] recently wrote a blog entry with job opportunities at the studio.  I wasn’t sure what type of response I would receive, if I’d have the right […]

sweet isabella

So, I guess if there is an upside to not being very good at keeping up with my blog it’s that I have an absolute treasure trove of images to share when I do decide to FINALLY write an entry!

And today, the motivation that I stumbled across was a session that I did with sweet, spirited Isabella.  Isabella is a little firecracker and simply oozing personality!  I had so much fun with her and look forward to visiting with her (and, of course, photographing her!) again.

Great portrait shots, love the third photo.

Absolutely love your work… I’m an aspiring photographer myself, but I just wanted to take the time to let you know.
Best of luck!

Holiday Cards! (and an early gift for you!)

Holiday cards are a BIG hit with my clients and definitely one of my very favorite products!

I love customizing each card so that it’s just right and I LOVE getting all the feedback when from my clients telling me about the emails and phone calls from their friends and family gushing that their card is the favorite of the year. And to visit a client’s home in July and find a card that I did for a different client hanging on the fridge….well…. it’s pretty great!

Because of the popularity of our holiday cards, the months leading up to the holidays tend to get booked early, fast and full. Each year I find myself trying to squeeze in just one more family that is maybe contacting me a little late but still wants to try to do something special to send to friends and family.

In an effort to once again try to avoid that crunch I am offering an incentive to those of you that book a session and order your cards before the end of November. If you are interested in booking a session ….. email me or call me SOON!

Here are the details….

ALL sessions must be scheduled and take place before 11/22.

For every 25 cards ordered, you will receive 20 free cards if ordered by 11/20.

For every 25 cards ordered, you will receive 15 free cards if ordered by 11/25.

For every 25 cards ordered, you will receive 10 free cards if ordered by 11/30.

Sessions scheduled and completed after 11/22 *MAY* be eligible for the 10 free cards if ordered by 11/30 but it is not guaranteed.

If you have already had a photo session with me and would like to order cards you can take advantage of the free holiday cards listed above. Simply contact me about designing a card for you using image(s) from your session.

Sessions will take place outside/on location either at a place I recommend or at your home. The session fee is $250 and includes a private, online gallery and an ordering session at the studio if desired. All images from the session will also be available for purchase as prints for holiday gift giving.

* I cannot adequately express to you how rapidly my schedule fills up at this time of year. PLEASE contact me as soon as possible if you would like to schedule a session. I really hate to disappoint people but I am holding firm to deadlines this year in an effort to save my sanity and keep peace with my family during the holidays! *
