•'d rather be on the beach than in a ballroom... the bows on the shoes don't have to match the bows on the dress... every family needs a superhero... kids shouldn't have to sit still... time really does fly.

Because you truly 'go with the flow' and embrace the things that really matter.

Because you don't want the moments in your life to become a fading memory.

Baby James

A little late on the post but simply had to share!  James is the baby boy of one of my favorite couples, Kathryn & Chris whose wedding I photographed last summer.   I had such a wonderful time with Kathryn, Chris and their families and we still laugh about bits and pieces of that day!  When Kathryn told me that she and Chris were expecting I was positively giddy for them and couldn’t wait for their next ‘big day’.  We made plans for me to visit with them as soon as James arrived for their first “family” photo and newborn photos.

With parents as good looking and photogenic as Kathryn and Chris it was no surprise to discover a perfect, sweet little bundle when I arrived!  Here are some of my favorites from James’ first official photo shoot!  I can’t wait for the next round!  :)

I couldn’t resist giving a little cameo time to the older ‘sibling’….

Congratulations Kathryn & Chris!  He is BEAUTIFUL!  (and lucky you James… were born to some pretty special parents!)

i love it

maggie + cameron : wedding : point lookout, maine

Maggie contacted me pretty close to the wedding date and, as luck would have it, I happened to have the date available.  I’m sooo glad I did!    I had a great time with this group and loved all the colorful and thoughtful details that were peppered throughout the reception…. a great map of the Maine coast for guests to sign,  placecards that ‘navigated’ each guest to the assigned seating, ADORABLE little moose drink flags (seriously….where did you GET those Maggie?!), a super sweet candy/cupcake room with personalized bags to take some goodies home… and more!    It was obvious that there was a great deal of thought, planning and creativity that went into the day.

To add to all that, the wedding and reception was held at the take-your-breath-away STUNNING location … Point Lookout in Northport, Maine.  One of the things that I love most about Maine is the fact that we really have a little (a lot actually) of everything when it comes to natural beauty.  From the mountains to the ocean and everything in between.  And Point Lookout embodies all of that.  Spectacular views of the ocean from atop a mountain….it really doesn’t get much better!

Here are a few from the day!

LOVED this little flower girl and how she was primping before the ceremony.  So cute!

Maggie and Cameron both have such expressive personalities.  Fun fun FUN to photograph!

Yeah…this group wasn’t much of the ‘stand still’ type!!

This venue is perfect for capturing EVERYONE at the wedding…

A few of the many details….

I WANT these little drink flags!!!

I knew I’d love it here the minute I walked in the door and met these two…..    :)

Maggie and Cam….I am so so glad everything turned out the way it did and that I was able to meet the two of you and photograph your wedding!  Best wishes for a happy and FUN life together!

Stumbled onto your website today. The more pictures I see, the more in awe I am of your photography. The outdoor shots are so incredible! The clients that use you as photographer are lucky indeed.

Kudos on the wonderful work!

Amazing detail shots, keep up the great work!

nikki + alex : wedding : stow, ma

Nikki and Alex were married on a gorgeous day at Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stow, MA.   The ceremony was on the porch of the country club and the grounds provided us with a great variety of locations for photos.  Nikki and Alex wanted to take advantage of that and chose to do the group formals, as well as some photos of the two of them prior to the ceremony.  After the ceremony, we hopped on golf carts for some morel photos in a few additional places.

The weather, the location and especially Nikki, Alex and their friends and family made for a truly perfect day!

Here are a few images!

Best wishes to you Nikki and Alex!!

Great color array! I also love how you have different stamps and watermarks for your sets. You are quite creative!

beth + todd : wedding : yarmouth, maine

What a fun and laid back wedding….just my type!

When I first met Beth I knew immediately we’d be a great match to work together.  She’s warm, friendly and not the type to stress about the little stuff for her wedding….she explained that she and Todd just wanted to have a fun, relaxed celebration with their friends and family.   And when I met Todd, it was confirmed…..I knew I was going to LOVE photographing their wedding.   Todd has a great sense of humor and Beth is constantly smiling around him.  We did have a great time together and I look forward to hanging out with them in the future just for fun (no wedding talk!).

The church and reception site, Camp Hammond , were all within walking distance of their home. The decor was perfect….jars of gorgeous splashes of color by one of my very favorite florist/designers, Sandy, from Bea & Company , on a selection of round and rectangular tables under a tent on the lawn of the property.  Stations of delicious food… grilled shish-kabobs, salads, etc…. by  The Black Tie Company … a bar set up on the porch…. it was wonderful!

Here are some photos from their day….

On the way down the road to the church…

Beth & Todd’s neighbors walked and rode bikes….

Scott, my assistant photographer, took this great shot of Beth and her brother just before the start of the ceremony….

This was a moment of ‘being at the right place at the right time’…..

The walk to the reception…
